Conservatory Painting in Worcester

Faithful Decorators paint and respray conservatory frameworks across Worcester and Worcestershire — uPVC, aluminium, and timber conservatory structures recoloured or refreshed.
Conservatories added to 1990s and 2000s housing are one of the most common property features across Worcester’s suburban streets. White uPVC frameworks from this era age and yellow. Respraying is a fraction of the cost of replacement.

uPVC Conservatory Frameworks
The most common conservatory type across Worcestershire is uPVC — white profiles that have yellowed or become dated. A professional respray returns the framework to a clean, factory-quality finish in any colour.
We clean and degrease all uPVC surfaces, lightly abrade the profiles, and apply a uPVC-specific adhesion primer before the topcoats.
Aluminium Conservatory Frames
Aluminium conservatories were common on properties built in the 1970s and 1980s. The original powder coat fades and chalks over time.
We treat aluminium with a specialist metal primer before the finish coat. The metal surface requires a different primer system to uPVC.
Timber Conservatory Frames
Victorian and Edwardian properties in Great Malvern, Pershore, and Worcester city often have original lean-to conservatories with timber frameworks. They require stripping back loose paint, abrading and priming, and applying an appropriate exterior wood finish.
Dwarf Walls and Brickwork
Many conservatories sit on a dwarf wall of brick or blockwork. Where this is painted or rendered, we paint it at the same time as the framework for a fully finished result.
Colour Transformations
A colour change transforms the conservatory from an afterthought to a feature that reads as part of the house. We advise on colours that work with the existing brickwork, window frames, and main interior palette.

Here’s How It Works
1. Conservatory Assessment
We inspect the framework material, surface condition, and glazing area to be masked before quoting.
2. Cleaning and Degreasing
All frame surfaces are cleaned thoroughly. Grease and contamination prevent adhesion.
3. Abrading and Masking
Profiles are lightly abraded to create a key. All glazing panels, floor, and surrounding surfaces are masked.
4. Primer Application
uPVC adhesion primer, metal primer, or wood primer is applied and allowed to cure fully.
5. Topcoats
Two finish coats are applied. Spray application gives the most consistent result on uPVC and aluminium conservatories.
6. Masking Removal and Inspection
Masking is removed carefully and we inspect all edges and profiles before leaving.

Conservatory Painting Costs in Worcester
Prices below are estimates only. Every property is different. Call 01905 975332 for a precise quote.

Size and Material
A small lean-to costs less than a large Victorian-style orangery. Aluminium adds preparation time over uPVC.
Scope Additions
Dwarf walls, roof bars, vent frames, and surrounding elements all affect the price. We quote the full scope at the site visit.
Typical Ranges
Small lean-to uPVC: £380 to £580. Standard 3m x 4m uPVC: £480 to £780. Large Victorian-style uPVC or orangery: £750 to £1,150. Aluminium: add £100 to £200.
Combining conservatory painting with window frames or fascias reduces the cost per item.
